Hi there.

Thank you for visiting my humble site. My name is Eunice, and this site had been created to record the behind-the-scenes of the media industry. Ever since my graduation from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011, I have embarked my journey in the media field despite having a major in Economics.

Thanks to my minor in Chinese Studies and long years of study of the Chinese language, I managed to join Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) after my graduation as a Content Producer/Online Journalist in bilingual news website omy.sg. During my two years here, I have gained experience in vodcast making, online articles writing, microsite content building, and social media campaigns handling.

I was also given the opportunity to learn the ropes of print media in May 2014, as I transferred within the company to Lianhe Zaobao. There, I spent about half a year on the Crime Beat at the Local News Desk, absorbing as much as I could to sharpen my interviewing and writing skills.

Moving forward, I have joined the online counterpart of Lianhe Zaobao as a Content Producer for Zaobao Online in end 2014. This is where I currently am, and I’m looking forward to more adventures in my media career.

I hope this blog is able to give you some insights on what the media industry is about, and allow you to peer into the life of a media person. For those who are interested in joining the industry, may this blog be able to help you in your journey (:

自2011年从新加坡国立大学经济系毕业之后，我首次踏上了我在媒体界的旅程。我对传媒一直都抱着一股热忱，很庆幸地，从小就热爱中文的我有幸在毕业之后加入新加坡报业控股集团。初出茅庐，我在网络资讯平台omy.sg担任网络编辑和记者的职位，学习如何拍摄网络视频、编写新媒体新闻、策划微型网站内容以及协调社交媒体活动。

随后，承蒙公司所给予的学习机会，我在2014年5月正式加入《联合早报》采访组，成为意外新闻专线记者。在大约半年的时间内，采访组的同事与前辈无私教导，让我在这期间磨练文笔以及采访技巧，也增强了我的新闻嗅觉。

2014年年底，我转而加入《联合早报》网站的团队，担任网络编辑一职。这也是我目前所在的地方。在这里，我的团队与报章记者们携手合作，创造更多的新媒体新闻呈现方式。

设立这个部落格，是为了记录我在媒体行业工作时的点滴，也希望能够让读者了解媒体行业的运作和趣事。你能够在这里体会到一个媒体人的生活，也希望能够帮助到那些有意加入媒体行业的有心人 (:
